In the database you will find owners of Doodles from all over the world. Generations are F1 (retriever bred to a poodle) or Later Generation ; F2 (F1 bred to F1)F1b (F1 bred to either retriever or poodle). The shedding question is the opinion of the owner although you can use the 'Shedding Test' if you prefer - The day after you have brushed your dog well, wet your hand and just shake off the the excess water. With your still wet hand, stroke your dog from neck to rump three times, using a gentle pressure. Look at your hand and see how many hairs there are on it. You may have to pick them off one by one to get a good count. (Remember that dead hair has to go somewhere so a count of zero is highly unlikely!)1-6: No Shed7-15: Very light shed16-25: Light shed26-35: Moderate shed36 or more: Heavy shedderFor allergies it should be pointed out that there are a few types of allergies to dogs - allergy to saliva, and allergy to dander, and sometimes an allergy to urine. The responses are 'no prob' as in friends and family have no allergy problems with the dog, 'mild' for mild allergies to the dog, and 'yes' for allergy problems. It is advised to contact owners if you are using this database as means of researching the breed. Owners emails are often linked to their name in the Proud Parents category. Now that, that is all said and done, I hope you find this information useful.
